The Power Advantage of ULTRApulse Alpha

The Power Advantage of ULTRApulse Alpha

  • Deepest penetration, with less energy needed to reach the same ablation depth
  • Less residual heat
  • Less risks and side effects
  • Better wound healing
  • Ablation rate faster than thermal relaxation time
  • Others even require pulse stacking or use of additional technologies

Mechanism of Acttion

  • Wavelengths below 2,000nm do NOT provide ablation, but only heat
  • Er:YAG (2,940nm) is too ablative. The skin becomes a barrier and there is not enough penetration (therefore, less collagen production stimulation). Lack of dermal heating leads to bleeding without the ability to coagulate
  • CO2 (10,600nm) provides an ideal combination of ablation AND heat to the dermis

Pulse Profile

UP (UltraPulse) mode is a high peak power pulse delivered at a very short duration, providing deeper penetration with lower thermal dissipation than any other ablative laser in aesthetic medicine. All following pulses are of 30mJ with the same 120µm diameter, delivered in different pulse durations:

How Fractional Resurfacing Works

Ablative full resurfacing is similar to very deep peeling. Epithelium renewal takes ~3 weeks and requires post-care handling. “Fractional” means creating only partial ablation of tissue, allowing the intact tissue to assist in the healing process – reducing patient discomfort and downtime.
